Angled Tri-Fold Card

This angled tri-fold card will surely impress your friends!

Look at how many ways you can design this angled tri-fold card! Each one has it’s own personality. A lot of that is due to the Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper that shares the stage with the focal point. Focal Points can be a stamped image, sentiment or die cut. The possibilities abound! Just start by choosing your favorite DSP, a coordinating card base and go from there.

Don’t you just love that DSP? You can get it for FREE during Sale-A-Brations from now until the end of September 2021! Simply place a $50 order and you can choose a package of this 12 x 12 DSP (12 sheets) for FREE! Or choose from many other gifts in the Sale-A-Bration brochure. Shop online HERE.

Black and white cards with a pop of color are rather trendy now and one of my favorites. This color scheme is also so easy to work with… everything goes with black and white! I decided to create a lot of contrast by choosing some bright colors for my card bases: Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, Crushed Curry and Real Red.

Decorate your front panels with Designer Series Paper (DSP) on both sides or just one. Choose the same pattern (purple & green cards above) or mix them up (red card below)! Try using DSP on only one side and emboss (yellow card below).

Add more character to your angled tri-fold card with your focal point on your belly band or front panel. The belly band helps to hold the front flaps together, as does the small Stitched So Sweetly label on the red card. Sentiments can be stamped on labels or stamped directly onto the belly band as seen on the green card.

Decorate the Inside!

Get creative as you decorate the inside of your card. Use DSP as you did on the outside or just use scrap strips. Stamp some coordinating images to bring the theme to the inside. Keep the center white for writing your message.

    • Measurements and diagrams are posted as best as I can do with the unusual shape of this card. It is most helpful to see HOW I do it on the video tutorial.

  3. Hi Lorraine,
I was wondering if you could do a video
of how you EMBOSSED The One side of the card without embossing the other sIdeS?

  4. I just found your tri-fold angled card. It was my first visit to your channel. Loved your explicit directions on the video. The four cards you made – how can I pick just one! They are greta and show such versatility. Thank you!

    • Hi Mariellen. That’s a good idea aND I will work on that. It is easier to see on the video how it’s done because the process DOESN’t involve the actual measurement of the final card base. I can still give measurements of what the final card base looks like. Thanks for your comment and for choosing your favorite card design. Many others have liked the yellow as well.

  5. Thank you Nancy! I’M SO HAPPY YOU LIKE THESE, AND THANKS FOR YOUR VOTE OF A FAVORITE. THE YELLOW ONE HAS BEEN A POPULAR CHOICE. I USUALLY GRAVITATE TOWARD OTER YELLOWS FOR FLORAL CARDS AND think of rushed Curry for fall. I’m glad I went out of my box for this one. Always push yourself to try new things.
