Welcome to my blog! To start with, I would love to share a little about myself before we get into some great stamping topics and projects. First of all, I have been a stamper since 2001, and a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator since 2003. Secondly, I enjoy wine. Back then I knew little more than what I liked to drink. Over the years, like a fine wine, I have grown and matured in my knowledge of varietals, regions, pairings, vintages and my own preferences. Similarly, I can compare this to my evolving stamping experiences.
The Harvest
Everyone will always remember their first stamping workshop or class. We marveled at all the wonderfully creative things we saw done with stamps. Who would have thought all that could be done with paper and ink? What particularly won me over was embossing with that fine powder and heat gun. It was magic! I attended a few more workshops, and hosted a couple my own. Like a vineyard collecting the fruit to craft into a special wine, I was collecting all the tools and skills needed to turn me into an avid stamper. In no time I was to find myself totally hooked and knew that I could support my hobby as a demonstrator. Being an elementary music teacher provided me skills that made me comfortable instructing others and speaking in front of people. My family and friends were excited for me and therefore gave me the support I needed to start this new adventure.
The Aging
Needless to say, over the 16 years of demonstrating with Stampin’ Up!, products have changed, improved and expanded. And, just like wine ages and develops to define it’s specific characteristics, I too have developed my craft and business into something quite special that I can savor on my own, share with friends, teach others about and appreciate it’s importance in my life. I have made many friends, helped other demonstrators grow their businesses, and shared what I love with others through workshops, classes, fairs, community events and sending out my own cards.
Sip and Savor
Retiring from teaching has afforded me more time to devote to other things I love. Stamping is one of them. I am so grateful that I am able to make my hobby such an important part of my life. Hopefully, like with a good bottle of wine, we can all share the fruits of our labor, appreciate the varietals, and savor the joy stamping brings.
Cheers, and welcome to my blog, Stamp with Lorraine!

How did you begin stamping? Leave your answers in the comments section below.
Congratulations Lorraine!! I loved Reading the “welcome To My Blog” Piece. I knew your early days, so did not get to age much with you. You always were an incredible teacher, both with music and stampin’ Up! I would love some Kits like the “paper pumpkin”. All of the Stampin’ up! Materials I brought to Vermont were donated to the Manchester Community Library. I have seen them put to great use and make a lot of children/Teens happy. Volunteering in the ChiLdren’s Library was my Greatest Joy until Covid-19 hit. I have faith that we will be back To Storytelling and Craft making. Please let me know how to go about purchasing the Paper Pumpkin Kit Subscriptions so that you get credit!! love to Fred!
thank you for your kind words, Karen. We did have fun stamping together when we could once in a while. The Paper pumpkin kits are fun, easy and all inclusive – you really don’t need another thing. If I have time I will open one tonight on my Facebook Live. 8:00!
