Looking for a great set to make fabulous cards easily?
This Love What You Do stamp set, is just so versatile! At first I resisted buying it, but then one of my customers purchased it, and I started thinking that I needed it as well. So glad I decided to get it. Whether you want a quick, easy card or want to kick it up a notch or two, this set will do the trick. Unfortunately, it will be retiring soon, so if you love it as much as I do, order it today!
Just stamp the watercolor-like wash stamp in a favorite color, either full strength or stamped off, then stamp your flower image over top. Add a sentiment either from this set, or many others work well too, and voila! A quick and simple card that will delight anyone.
Take it a step further by stamping the background twice (either full, stamped off or one of each). Below I used the retired In Color, Powder Pink, but Petal Pink would work nicely too. Next, use colored markers to color the stem and the blossom right on the stamp itself. I used Garden Green and the retired Fresh Fig. Merry Merlot might be a good choice of a current color. Remember to give it a little huff of your breath to re-activate the ink that may have dried a bit while your were coloring, then stamp onto the card. Stamp some leaves onto the stems and fill in the color of the blossoms with the appropriate stamp from the set.
Now as pretty as this is, I wanted to kick it up another notch by adding Wink of Stella to the blossom. Two benefits here: It adds a little sparkle, and the liquid helps to blend the ink and drags it to fill in the areas that the fill-in stamp did not cover. This also gives an appearance of more tones. Add a few sequins if you like for a subtle bling. (Confession: I actually added the sequins first to cover up a little accidental smear of ink, but then I decided I liked the sequins on there and did the rest!)
