AWAY IN A MANGER
Away in a manger so crib for a bed,
The little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head.
The stars in the sky look down where he lay,
The little Lord Jesus, asleep on the hay.
The cattle are lowing, the poor Baby wakes,
But little Lord Jesus, no crying he makes.
I love thee, Lord Jesus, look down from the sky,
And stay by my cradle ‘til morning is nigh.
THE CHRISTMAS SONG
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire,
Jack Frost nipping at your nose.
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir,
And folks dressed up like Eskimos.
Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe
Help to make the season bright.
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow
Will find it hard to sleep tonight.
They know that Santa’s on his way,
He’s bringing lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh.
And every mother’s child is gonna spy
To see if reindeer really know how to fly.
And so I’m offering this simple phrase,
To kids from one to ninety-two
Although it’s been said, many times, many ways,
Merry Christmas to you.
DECK THE HALLS
Deck the halls with boughs of holly, (Fa-la-la-la-la, La-la-la-la!)

Troll the ancient Yuletide carol (Fa-la-la-la-la, La-la-la-la!)
See the blazing yule before us, (Fa-la-la-la-la, La-la-la-la!)

Follow me in merry measure, Fa-la-la, La-la-la, La-la-la!)
While I tell of Yuletide treasure. (Fa-la-la-la-la, La-la-la-la!)
Fast away the old year passes, (Fa-la-la-la-la, La-la-la-la!)
Hail the new, ye lads and lasses. (Fa-la-la-la-la, La-la-la-la!)
Sing we joyous, all together, Fa-la-la, La-la-la, La-la-la!)

FELIZ NAVIDAD
Feliz Navidad, Feliz Navidad,
Feliz Navidad, próspero año y Felicidad.
Feliz Navidad, Feliz Navidad,
Feliz Navidad, próspero año y Felicidad.
I want to wish you a Merry Christmas.
I want to wish you a Merry Christmas.
I want to wish you a Merry Christmas, from the bottom of my heart.
THE FIRST NOEL
The first Noel, the angels did say,
Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay,
In fields where they lay keeping their sheep
On a cold winter’s night that was so deep.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel.
Born is the King of Israel.
FROSTY, THE SNOWMAN
Frosty, the Snowman, was a jolly happy soul,
With a corncob pipe and a button nose,
And two eyes made out of coal.
Frosty, the Snowman, is a fairytale, they say.
He was made of snow, but the children know
How he came to life one day.
There must have been some magic in that
Old silk hat they found,
For when they placed it on his head,
He began to dance around.
Oh, Frosty, the Snowman, was alive as he could be,
And the children say he could laugh and play,
Just the same as you and me.
Frosty, the Snowman, knew the sun was hot that day,
So he said, “Let’s run and we’ll have some fun,
Now before I melt away.”
Down to the village with a broomstick in his hand,
Running here and there, all around the square,
Saying, “Catch me if you can!”
He lead them down the streets of town,
Right to a traffic cop.
And he only paused a moment when
He heard him holler, “Stop!”
For Frosty, the Snowman, had to hurry on his way.
But he waved goodbye, saying, “Don’t you cry,
I’ll be back again someday.”
Thumpity-thump-thump, Thumpity-thump-thump,
Look at Frosty go!
Thumpity-thump-thump, Thumpity-thump-thump,
Over the hills of snow.
HARK! THE HERALD ANGELS SING
Hark! The herald angels sing,
Glory to the newborn King.
Peace on Earth and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled.
Joyful all ye nations rise,
Join the triumph of the skies,
With th’angelic hosts proclaim
Christ is born in Bethlehem.
Hark! The herald angels sing,
Glory to the newborn King.
HERE COMES SANTA CLAUS
Here comes Santa Claus,
Here comes Santa Claus,
Right down Santa Claus Lane.
Vixen and Blitzen and all his reindeer
Are pulling on the rein.
Bells are ringing, children singing,
All is merry and bright.
Hang you stocking and say your prayers,
‘Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.
Here comes Santa Claus,
Here comes Santa Claus,
Right down Santa Claus Lane.
He’s got a bag that’s filled with toys
For boys and girls again.
Hear those sleigh bells jingle jangle,
What a beautiful sight.
Jump in bed, cover up your head,
‘Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.
JINGLE BELL ROCK
Jingle bell, Jingle bell, Jingle bell rock,
Jingle bells swing and Jingle bells ring.
Snowing and blowing up bushels of fun,
Now the Jingle bell hop’s begun.
Jingle bell, Jingle bell, Jingle bell rock,
Jingle bells chime in Jingle bell time.
Dancing and prancing in Jingle Bell Square
In the frosty air.
What a bright time, it’s the right time
To rock the night away.
Jingle bell time is a swell time
To go riding in a one-horse sleigh.
Giddy up, jingle horse, pick up your feet,
Jingle around the clock.
Mix and mingle in the jingle bell beat,
That’s the Jingle bell.
That’s the Jingle bell,
That’s the Jingle bell rock!
JOY TO THE WORLD
Joy to the world, the Lord is come.
Let Earth receive her King.
Let ev’ry heart prepare Him room,
And Heav’n and nature sing,
And Heav’n and nature sing,
And Heav’n and Heav’n and nature sing.
LET IT SNOW
Oh, the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful.
And since we’ve no place to go,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
It doesn’t show signs of stopping,
And I brought some corn for popping.
The lights are turned way down low.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
When we finally kiss goodnight.
How I hate going out in the storm.
But if you really hold me tight,
All the way home I’ll be warm.
The fire is slowly dying,
And, my dear, we’re still goodbying.
But as long as you love me so,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
O, COME, ALL YE FAITHFUL
O, come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant,
O, come, ye, O, come ye, to Bethlehem.
Come and behold Him, Born the King of angels.
O, come let us adore Him. O, come let us adore Him,
O, come let us adore Him, Christ, the Lord.
ROCKIN AROUND THE CHRISTMAS TREE
Rockin’ around the Christmas tree
At the Christmas party hop,
Mistletoe hung where you can see,
Every couple tries to stop.
Rockin’ around the Christmas tree
Let the Christmas spirit ring,
Later we’ll have some pumpkin pie,
And we’ll do some caroling.
You will get a sentimental feeling when you hear.
Voices singing, “Let’s be jolly, Deck the halls with boughs of holly!”
Rockin’ around the Christmas tree
Have a happy holiday.
Everyone dancing merrily in the
New…. old-…. fashioned…. Way!
RUDOLPH, THE RED-NOSED REINDEER
You know Dasher and Dancer, and Prancer and Vixen,
Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen.
But do you recall, the most famous reindeer of all?
Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer,
Had a very shiny nose,
And if you ever saw him,
You would even say it glows.
All of the other reindeer,
Used to laugh and call him names,
They never let poor Rudolph
Join in any reindeer games.
Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to say,
“Rudolph, with your nose so bright, won’t you guide my sleigh tonight.
Then how the reindeer loved him
As they shouted out with glee,
“Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer, you’ll go down in history!”
SILENT NIGHT
Silent night, holy night,
All is calm, all is bright.
Round yon Virgin, Mother and Child.
Holy Infant so tender and mild.
Sleep in Heavenly peace,
Sleep in Heavenly peace.
SILVER BELLS
City sidewalks, busy sidewalks,
Dressed in holiday style,
In the air there’s a feeling of Christmas.
Children laughing, people passing,
Meeting smile after smile,
And on every street corner you hear:
Chorus: Silver Bells, Silver Bells,
It’s Christmas time in the city,
Ring-a-ling, hear them ring,
Soon it will be Christmas day.
City street lights, even stop lights
Blink a bright red and green,
As the shoppers rush home with their treasures.
Hear the snow crunch, see the kids bunch,
This is Santa’s big scene,
And above all the bustle you hear: Chorus
WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS
We wish you a Merry Christmas, We wish you a Merry Christmas
We wish you a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.
Good tidings we bring to you and your kin,
Good tidings of Christmas and a Happy New Year. (repeat chorus)
WHITE CHRISTMAS
I’m dreaming of a white Christmas,
Just like the ones I used to know.
Where the treetops glisten, and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow.
I’m dreaming of a white Christmas,
With every Christmas card I write.
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white.
WINTER WONDERLAND
Sleigh bells ring, are you list’nin’?
In the lane, snow is glist’nin.
A beautiful sight, we’re happy tonight,
Walkin’ in a winter wonderland.
Gone away is the bluebird,
Here to stay is a new bird,
He sings a love song, as we go along,
Walkin’ in a winter wonderland.
In the meadow we can build a snowman.
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown.
He’ll say are you married, we’ll say, “No man,
But you can do the job while you’re in town.”
Later on, we’ll conspire,
As we dream by the fire,
We’ll face unafraid the plans that we made,
Walkin’ in a winter wonderland.
