Stampin’ Up! dedicates a day of service each year for creating projects with community service in mind.
This year the focus will be the Share Sunshine downloadable PDF which provides humor and heartfelt sentiments that you can print out and use on cards. All proceeds from the purchase of the PDF go to support charities related to COVID-19 relief. Stampin’ Up! employees, demonstrators, and customers will be gathering virtually for our Day of Service craft party on 21 May at 4:00 PM (EST) to make our cards together in a Facebook Live on Sara’s CEO Facebook page. If you are unable to participate in the live craft party, the replay will be available to view any time on Sara’s Facebook page.
To follow along during the live craft party, you will need card bases, Designer Series Paper, a printed copy of the Share Sunshine PDF Download (which can be purchased here), embellishments, adhesive, and scissors or a Paper Trimmer. To make it easy for everyone to participate, we’ve also created an instruction sheet for Sara’s four-step cards, which includes a cut map for your Designer Series Paper (any Designer Series Paper will work). Note: A full package of 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper will be enough to make 20 cards. You can find the instruction sheet here. We encourage you to come prepared with pre-cut Designer Series Paper!
Hope you will join in!
Another way to participate in a day of service is to create greeting cards for troops. Many of you know that I donate many cards to United For The Troops for inclusion in care packages to be sent overseas. We send blank cards so that deployed military have cards to send to loved ones. Please consider dedicating part of your day (or any other, for that matter) to making some cards for this great cause. I do this throughout the year with hopes of collecting enough cards to make 100 packs of 6-8 cards. A big shipment of care packages goes out around Thanksgiving, so I like to have it all ready by then.
Contact me for more information and how to get the cards delivered. Thank you in advance!
